FAQs

Why did you create Ellipsis Finance?

As a Finance major, I was fortunate enough to learn the basics of investing and investment theories from knowledgeable professors at Boston College. Even in high school, I noticed a troubling discrepancy in financial knowledge that severely limited people’s financial freedom. Today, that has not changed. Ellipsis Finance is an attempt to bridge the gap in resources, knowledge, and opportunity that deter many investors from taking control of their personal finances.

How does Ellipsis Finance make money?

We don’t. We are focused on education and financial literacy above all else. If you appreciate what we do and would like to help, please consider donating or (better yet) share this site with a friend. Thank you!

What if I don’t have much money to invest?

The process of building a strong portfolio can begin with even a small amount. Investment success will be dictated by the percentage allocation rather than the dollar amounts. Therefore, by leveraging fractional shares, you can begin creating a strong portfolio by adhering to the “Bootcamp”-recommended allocation strategy.

I’m still young. Do I really need to start investing now?

Albert Einstein allegedly said that compounding is the eighth wonder of the world. Compounding is powerful, so the earlier your money starts working to make more money, the better off you will be down the road. You are never too young to start investing, and the sooner you start, the better off you will be.
